Youth at the Crossroads: The Complexity of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Mental Health in Massachusetts
The Children’s Mental Health Campaign was awarded a one year planning grant from the Peter and Elizabeth Tower Foundation to identify need areas and barriers to care for children and youth with co-occurring autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and mental health concerns, identify a range of potential solutions, and devise a set of strategies and actions to improve access to necessary services and supports.
We convened in December 2024 and were joined by state policy makers, providers, families, advocates, and more, to present our findings and to refine a set of actionable, high-impact solutions that will help children and youth with co-occurring autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and mental health concerns access the range of services and supports they need to thrive.
