School-Based Behavioral Health Policy Project

School-Based Behavioral Health Policy Project

Thanks to the financial support of the CF Adams Charitable Trust, CMHC, along with some of the state’s most prominent leaders in behavioral health, is spearheading a project focused on school-based behavioral health (SBBH) in Massachusetts. The goals of this project are to share essential components and models of school-based behavioral health, and improving equitable access to services and supports for all students across the state. This SBBH project is convening educators, advocates, school leaders, providers, caregivers, students and leaders in the field to help make equity-informed recommendations for services across the three tiers of intervention (promotion and prevention, early intervention, and targeted intervention). The CMHC team is currently developing a policy brief, which will include policy recommendations to expand the field of SBBH, that will be released in late 2021. More information soon to come.
